Cycle paths
For the last years, car traffic has increased considerably. Traffic within the town area of Herzogenaurach (i.e. less than 3 km) make up more than 50 % of the traffic volume. By taking the bus or the bike, the car traffic volume could be reduced drastically.
By constructing and improving cycle paths, people should be encouraged to take the bike instead of taking the car.

Herzogenaurach offers new cycling path maps which show cycling paths in Herzogenaurach and a brochure describing 12 excursions in Herzogenaurach and surroundings
The cycling path map and the brochure are availble free of charge in the Amt für Stadtmarketing und Kultur (Tourist Information) in the town administration (castle building).
Traffic signage
The road signs on cycle paths and other roads and tracks suitable for cycling have green prints on a white background.
