Christine Eixenberger: "Einbildungsfreiheit"
On Friday, 11 October, at 7.00 pm, you can experience cabaret artist Christine Eixenberger live in the town hall's conference room. With her current solo programme "Einbildungsfreiheit", she sweeps from one stage to the next at her usual rapid pace. She can't help it, because she has set herself free. From her own four walls, that is - by force.
It all begins with biblical water damage: Christine Eixenberger sets off on an odyssey through the urban and small-town jungle, driven out of her flat by legendary mushroom colonies and not-so-swift tradesmen.
In her programme, the cabaret artist presents a panopticon that could not be more romantic: In her involuntary search for a flat, she ensnares estate agents and landlords, who all behave like feudal lords of a bygone era. "I'll be so free...!" thinks Christine Eixenberger and confronts the would-be monarchs of modern times fearlessly and eloquently, steeled by countless handicraft lessons and primary school trips.
"Einbildungsfreiheit" is a humorous tale of burghers and damsels, of the power of markets and the search for this one, mystical, most Bavarian of all places: The ominous "Dahoam".
