A WARM WELCOME FROM HERZO

The European Football Championship kicks off in Germany on June 14, 2024 - and Herzogenaurach is delighted to be hosting the German national team once again. This year, the DFB team will once again be guests at the adidas “Home Ground” at the World of Sports.

At the end of May, the DFB team moved into its Team Base Camp at the adidas Campus in Herzogenaurach. The team was welcomed with a big welcome event at the adidas Outlet. In the coming weeks, various events will take place in the adidas outlet and on the piazza in front of the outlet. Find out more here!

DFB Events at the adidas Outlet

The venue for each event is the adidas Outlet, Olympiaring 2, 91074 Herzogenaurach. Registration is not required, but places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

All tickets for the German national soccer team are available via the DFB ticket portal.

The public training session in Herzogenaurach will take place on Monday, June 10, 2024. Tickets are already sold out.

Public Viewing adidas Outlet

All preliminary round matches involving the German national team will be shown on the Piazza of the adidas Outlet. Experience the matches of the German national team in a special atmosphere and celebrate the love of soccer together with other fans. Food and drinks will be provided.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Admission is at 7.30 pm.

July 9, 9 p.m.: Semi-finals
July 10, 9 p.m.: Semi-final
July 14, 9 p.m.: Final

Background adidas "Home Ground"

The “Home Ground” building complex is an extension of the adidas campus and was built by DFB supplier adidas in 2021 for the national soccer team according to their needs - and special emphasis was placed on sustainability. The modern campus is home to 15 wooden bungalows, each of which can accommodate up to four players. However, the Home Ground is not only available to the national team, but is also used by other athletes as accommodation and by employees as a conference center. In June 2021, the “Home Ground” was inaugurated by the German national team as temporary accommodation during UEFA EURO 2020.

A look back: First visit to the Home Ground 2021

In preparation for UEFA EURO 2020, the DFB team visited the “Home Ground” for the first time in June 2021. A highlight for many Herzogenaurach residents was certainly the autograph session on site. Many children and young people from Herzogenaurach's clubs and schools as well as adults from Lebenshilfe were overjoyed at the chance to see their idols live (photos: Alexander Muck, Fränkischer Tag). On this occasion, the Golden Book of the town of Herzogenaurach was also signed by the players and the then director Oliver Bierhoff (photos: Philipp Reinhard).
