The Old Town Festival

The weekend after Corpus Christi is a fixed date on the calender of the festival-loving town of Herzogenaurach. The festival of Herzogenaurach's clubs and societies has been drawing in the crowds since 1976.

The wide range of clubs and societies shows how deeply rooted voluntary work and social commitment are: local clubs and societies and the twin towns present cultural life, customs and specialities - bringing numerous nationalities together at the festival.

Five stages accentuate the community spirit with live music of all kinds and there is a separate market for regional crafts.

The range of interests presented is as diverse as the people involved. There is much to admire, including sports demontrations, children's make-up and theatre, information on bee-keeping and angling clubs, crafts from Burkina Faso, French wine tasting, whitework embroidery, seniore citizen's advice, stone cutting, turnery and pottery.

The town's shops are also allowed to open on the Sunday.

The next Old Twon Festival takes place from June 21 to 23 June 2019!
