Sports promotion

SPORTS and their PROMOTION are very important in Herzogenaurach. Almost 40 sports clubs offer a wide and colourful range of over 50 sports - from fishing to decathlon. The town of Herzogenaurach supports the work of local clubs, groups, organisations and initiatives in accordance with the guidelines for the promotion of sport and club work.

According to the city council resolution of 30 November 2017, the following innovations for Herzogenaurach clubs were included in the club funding guidelines:

1. increase in youth funding
The city of Herzogenaurach supports the youth work of the clubs as follows: Clubs in general 16.00 EURO/member up to 18 years, sports clubs 20.00 EURO/member up to 18 years. Decisive for the funding is the notification of the number of members of the club to the Bayer. Landessportverband or another umbrella organisation. The benefits are granted on application.

2. promotion of employment relationships in associations
The city supports employment relationships for the fulfilment of administrative tasks (e.g. membership administration, finances, organisation of association work), which serve to relieve the board of recognised non-profit associations based in Herzogenaurach. The funding is granted for a maximum period of three years and can only be applied for once for each employment relationship. The funding decreases from the 1st to the 3rd year.

3. funding for the training of trainers, youth leaders, referees, judges and comparable training and further training of voluntary club members
A subsidy can be granted to clubs that bear the financial costs for the acquisition or extension of teaching certificates, training instructor licences, referee and referee qualifications, etc., which are used in the context of youth work in a Herzogenaurach club.
