ParkPLATZ - mal anders / A different kind of car park
What if a car park could be transformed into a small but beautiful event space? Experience it for yourself on 20 September from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the centre of Herzogenaurach at our "ParkPLATZ - mal anders".
As you stroll through the main street, you are spoilt for choice: visit the theatre, get creative, enjoy tastings, take part in the pack singing or try your hand at knitting. And all this in the car parks in Herzogenaurach's main street and in the upper part of Steinweg.
Culinary delights also await you: Cakes and drinks from the Radt'sch-Mobil, barbecued food from the Rotary Club Herzogenaurach, beer from the Höhn beer factory, wine & more from Vinothek Dasslers, snacks and drinks from the Fairtrade Town steering group as well as ice cream variations. Most of the shops in the town centre will be open for you until 8.00 pm. Our city centre restaurants will be open during normal opening hours.
World Children's Day: activities for children and families
20 September is also World Children's Day. For this reason, the Spielmobil and the city library will also be present with various activities, especially for the youngest children. And what child wouldn't want to jump into a mountain of cuddly toys or let off steam on the bouncy castle? For the older ones, there will also be an exciting digital treasure hunt in Herzogenaurach city centre with the Mobility Week mascots Edda and Edgar.
By bus to the city centre
From 16 to 22 September, travel on all Herzo buses and regional buses in Herzogenaurach, including all districts, is free! Take advantage of this offer and come to the city centre and our campaign day in comfort.
PROGRAMME
Background to the day of action
The Herzogenaurach day of action “ParkPLATZ - mal anders” takes place as part of the European Mobility Week, which takes place every year from September 16 to 22 and in which the city of Herzogenaurach has participated for years. The idea is based on “Park(ing) Day”, an annual international day of action in city centers since 2005: on the third Friday in September, parking spaces in public streets around the world - primarily in city centers - are temporarily rededicated with creative and innovative ideas for more quality of stay. The newly created spaces invite people to drink coffee, feel good, play, enjoy art installations or simply meet up in the spirit of this year's European Mobility Week theme “Sharing street space”.
