Help for Ukraine

The flags of peace are currently waving in front of the Interim Town Hall. The Town of Herzogenaurach utterly condemns Russia’s attack and stands with the people in Ukraine. Here you will find an overview of possibilities for you to help the people in Ukraine.

Currently the Administrative District Office of Erlangen-Höchstadt is preparing the coordination of the reception of refugees from Ukraine. The central point of contact at the Administrative District Office is the social welfare office.

Registration for fled persons from the Ukraine

Please send your questions and potential help offers preferably by email to: sachgebiet42@erlangen-hoechstadt.de. Your persons of contact are Mr. Deller, head of social welfare office (Tel. 09193/20-1810), and Mr. Salzner (Tel. 09193/20-1813).

Herzogenaurach helps: Provision of Accommodations for Refugees

An increasing number of war refugees is arriving in Germany, looking for a safe place to stay. If there are no relatives or friends to go to, these people are literally left with nothing. We can support and help them. People in Germany are highly willing to help. There is a lot of commitment in our administrative district and people keep asking: What can we do explicitly? You would like to provide an accommodation? Please contact us!

We want to be prepared before refugees start arriving here and therefore would like to consolidate information on possible accommodations in order to be able to provide a safe and calm place and support to the often traumatized refugees.

This is how you can help: If you would like to offer rooms or apartments for refugees, please contact us by email to rathaus@herzogenaurach.de.

What information do we need from you?

  • Who provides the apartment / room? (contact data of provider)
  • Where is the accommodation?
  • How big is it, how many rooms are there, how many persons can live there?
  • For what period of time can the accommodation be provided?
  • Are there any costs and if so, to what amount?

Other possibilities to help

The vhs Herzogenaurach (Adult Education Center) offers German language courses for war refugees for free. Either the refugee her- /himself or a contact person can address the vhs. Initial job-search assistance for refugees from Ukraine

The vbw (Bavarian association of enterprises) has implemented their project sprungbrett into work (initial job-search assistance) for refugees from Ukraine. The project includes an online platform where enterprises looking for employees and Ukrainians looking for a job can get into contact.

You are from Ukraine and are looking for a job in Bavaria? Your enterprise would like to offer jobs to refugees? Please find corresponding information on sprungbrett into work.
