Coronavirus: Announcement of partial curfew
On 20th March 2020, the Bavarian State Ministry of Healthand Care Services announced an interim partial curfew due to the Corona pandemic. It remains in force until 19 April 2020.
Leaving the apartment is only allowed for solid reasons. Such solid reasons include e.g. having to go to work, do necessary shopping or visit a doctor or pharmacy for absolutely necessary medical reasons.
Restaurants may only offer takeaway food; any other restaurant activity is forbidden.This general order remains in force for the coming 14 days in the first instance. The police will monitor the observance of the order. Any infringement is subject to criminal prosecution and will be punished with high fines or even imprisonment.
Public access to the Interim Town Hall only by appointment
Your town administration will be there for you! We will continue to fulfill all crucial administration tasks. We ask all citizens to visit the authorities only in urgent cases and for issues that cannot be delayed. Please visit the relevant authority only after having arranged an appointment (by telephone or e-mail). All contact data can be found here. Weddings at the registry office are limited to a small number of guests. In your own interest, we limit the number of persons participating in a wedding ceremony to 8 (incl. the bridal couple).
The mortuary chapel at Martin-Luther-Platz (municipal mortuary hall) is closed. Internments and urn burials are performed for the funeral party directly at the gravesite. The Municipal Cemetery Administration asks to limit such funeral parties to close relatives and friends.
The municipal institutions of Volkshochschule (adult education center), music school, Generations.Center, rabatz House for the Youth, town museum, public library, Tourist Info and senior citizens' office are closed until further notice. The period of loan for any media from the public library will be adapted automatically.
The following measures are applicable for 14 days as matters stand
Crucial food retailers have the possibility to expand their opening hours and opentheir stores until 10.00 pm (on workdays) as well as from 12.00 noon to 6.00 pm on Sundays and holidays. It is forbidden to open any retail stores except for food and beverage stores, banks, pharmacies, drug stores, medical stores, opticians, audiologists, branches of the Deutsche Post AG, pet supplies, gas stations, cleaners and online stores.
The public transport timetables are subject to change. Please contact the relevant transportation company or consult the timetable information on www.vgn.de before traveling with public transport.
Any recreational facilities like swimming pools, gyms, conference rooms, clubs, sports facilities, museums, dancing schools, bars, discos, theaters, cinemas and zoos are closed in accordance with the Bavarian regulations.
The town administrations closes all municipal playgrounds with immediate effect.Signs saying “This playground is closed until further notice” will be installed at allplayground entrances. These signs will also be installed at open playgrounds without fences. The town administration asks all citizens to observe this order.
Any events and assemblies are forbidden throughout the Federal State. This also includes town tours and the Shopping Walks organized by the town of Herzogenaurach
