Coronavirus Information

The disaster situation has been declared for Bavaria for the time from 9th December 2020 until 5th January 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Bavarian State Government has announced new measures taking effect on 9th December 2020.

All measures and regulations effective since 1st December 2020 can be found in the Ninth Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance of 30th November 2020. Additionally, further measures for Bavaria will take effect on 9th December. Corresponding information can be found in the Cabinet Session Report of 6th December.

Corona helpline service extended

The Corona helpline service of the State Department of Health in Erlangen has been extended due to high demand. The helpline is available for citizens of the city of Erlangen and the administrative district of Erlangen-Höchstadt requesting information on the current Corona situation under 09131 / 8032200, menu option 8. It is available during the office hours, Monday through Friday between 8.00am and 4.00pm, and additionally on Thursday between 8.00am and 6.00pm.

Information on public institutions

Public libraries (excluding university libraries) and archives have to be closed until 20th December 2020. This also applies to the public library of Herzogenaurach. The period of loan for all borrowed media is automatically expanded until 11th January 2021. Current information can be found on the website of the Herzogenaurach Public Library.

All group events of the Generations.Center have to be canceled until further notice. Yet, the team has come up with several activities hopefully bridging this gap. Find further information on the website of the Generation.Center.

The rabatz house for the youth remains closed presumably until 12th January 2021. All events, workshops, activities and the café “FreiRaum” (Monday, Wednesday & Friday between 3.30pm - 9.30pm) have to be canceled. Yet, the rabatz team will remain available by virtual means: Via Facebook,  Instagram, the website of the Town Administration or also the Newsletter.

From 1st December 2020 through 10th January 2021, all on-site classes of the adult education center have to be canceled; the online courses take place. Current information can be found on the website of the Volkshochschule Herzogenaurach [adult education center].

The current number of cases in the administrative district of Erlangen-Höchstadt is announced by the State Department of Health in Erlangen.

Public access to the Interim Town Hall only by appointment

Your town administration will be there for you! The offices in the Interim Town Hall offer all services as usual. In order to avoid waiting times and situations, it is necessary to arrange an appointment with the relevant authority (either by telephone or by e-mail) in advance. It is not possible to visit the authorities without an appointment. This particularly also refers to the Citizens Advice Bureau.
