Civic commitment is always voluntary and promotes common good in the most different areas of public life.

More than 160 associations and citizens' initiatives in Herzogenaurach offer numerous possibilities for voluntary commitment.

In Herzogenaurach, an outstanding number of citizens are involved in the municipal Agenda 2030. The Agenda 21 was created during the UN Conference for Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 and is aimed at developing a sustainability process in cooperation with the citizens.
