Via WebOPAC, the entire range of media can be searched online; additionally, with a reader's account, loan periods can be extended and media can be reserved for loan. Current newspaper and magazine editions are available for reading. The library rooms provide a reading corner, a copying machine, a public computer offering Internet access and printing, and free WLAN.
Additionally, the Franken-Onleihe offers downloads of digital media. This offer includes 24/7 access to more than 60,000 e-books,e-audios, e-magazines and e-papers. Freegal Music contains about 16 Mio. songs and audio books.
In addition to the library circulation services, there are also regular events taking place at the library: Read aloud hours, reading nights, holiday activities like the distribution of "reading backpacks", book rallies for children or English book clubs for adults.
Additionally, the public library also offers special tours and services for childcare centers, schools and institutions. And it supports the "reading mentors".
