The museum building
The town museum was founded in 1908 already. In 2000, it moved into the rooms of the late-medieval citizens' almshouse.
The expensively renovated historic building with its spacious vaulted cellar is one of the most impressive buildings of the town and was initially donated by the master dyer Conrad Reyter from Niederndorf. In 1508, he had the almshouse built as an Institution for elderly or disabled citizens of the town.
During your tour through the town museum, you will learn more about the 500-year-old half-timbered building and its former residents.
